Hidden trails is based in the historic and picturesque town of Graiguenamanagh, nestled in the beautiful Barrow Valley. From the calm and tranquil walkways along the river barrow, to the stunning heights of Mount Leinster and the rolling walks around Brandon Hill. If you are looking to get away from it all , even for just a few hours, a visit here is a must. We offer a variety of walks to suit all ages and abilities, taking in the scenery and sharing a few stories along the way. There is so much history and beauty here just waiting to be discovered. We also offer cycle tours or just hire a bike yourself and head off, or you might like to try out a bit of canoeing / kayaking on the river with its locks and rapids a plenty.

During the Festival, discover Kilkenny’s natural beauty with Hidden Trail’s Trek and Treat!  These walks offer one of the best ways to explore the county’s varied countryside while enjoying a few great stories with your experienced guide

Brandon Hill

This trek will be taking you up to  Kilkenny’s highest point!  Take in the beautiful surrounds and enjoy a few great stories along the way.  Afterwards, enjoy a well earned meal in Duiske Bar, Graiguenamanagh.

When:  Friday, 6th July

Time:  10:00am – 3:00pm

Price:  €30/head

Suitable for:  Ages 10+


This scenic tour will head out along the River Nore, taking in a beautiful wooded trail and eventually returning back to Bassett’s Restaurant,Thomastown for some delicious dining.

Starting in the picturesque village of Inistioge and heading along the river to the Woodstock waterfall and on to the beautiful grounds of Woodstock.  Finish up in the cozy Woodstock Arms for some delightful cuisine.

Suitable for:  Ages 10+
