Wild Ways Kilkenny Forest School provides Environmental Education and Nature Connection experiences. We deliver forest school, forest therapy and nature connection experiences to individuals , groups and communities in the South East region. Join us as we learn, create and play . Learn and remember ancient skills and processes, identify plants and discover nature’s medicine.

ACTIVITIES : Forest Therapy Walks : Awaken the senses on a Forest Therapy Walk .Discover Kilkenny ‘s ancient woodlands in a series of Forest therapy walks available throughout the county. Forest therapy walks are an opportunity to get outdoors , slow down and connect to nature. Suitable for all levels of fitness. Also know as forest bathing or shinrin yoku, forest therapy is globally recognised wellness practice and known for its benefits to both physical and mental wellbeing. It’s a slow and mindful walk through nature as you are gently guided through a series of invitations designed to help you reconnect with nature and remember your natural rhythms.A typical forest therapy walk lasts approx. 2 to 3 hours.Please wear waterproof clothing and comfortable walking shoes. Suitable for adults.

Family Forage and Feast: Discover Kilkenny’s ancient woodlands as we forage seasonal plants for food and medicine.Share some ancient nature stories over the fire as we feast on our foraged plants. Available for group bookings. Suitable for families.

Forest School Programmes: We run forest school programmes throughout the year for children aged 5 to 14 yrs. Our Smalls Worlds and Wild Ways summer camps programmes run throughout the summer. Suitable for children aged 4 plus .

Wild Ways Women Weekends:  Monthly Forest Retreat Wild Ways for Women offers the space to play, create, meditate and simply spend some time in the woods experiencing nature. Each month looks at rediscovering a diffrent ancestral skills inspired by the landscape around us – skills include willow basket weaving , foraging, medicine making , whittling and making fire by friction . Immersion weekend’s also includes glamping , morning yoga , forest therapy walk and a wild fire forest feast.
