Bike and Hikes

Bike and Hike

Since 2012 Waterside has been operating a bicycle rental service that is swiftly becoming one of the most popular activity outings for the southeast of Ireland. The reason is pretty simple, the Barrow river towpath makes an excellent cycling route that gives visitors miles of safe, traffic free adventure in beautiful countryside. As the towpath follows the river downstream to St. Mullins and stretches upriver as far as the grand canal in County Kildare you simply have miles and miles of countryside to explore. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the River Barrow towpath on a mountain bike with Waterside Bike and Hike. All equipment required will be provided for this leisurely cycle along beautiful riverbanks. You will be accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. There will be plenty of time to stop and soak up the atmosphere of the Barrow Valley. The event includes a picnic lunch by the river or in a local café – all depending on weather conditions.
